By the time your youngster is on the Full Competitive Team, they could be bringing home X Games and Olympic medals. You might need a stronger refrigerator magnet to display those Gold Stars!

Rippers 5 - 12 $699*

The popular Rippers* program, for youths ages 5 through 12, offers participants flexibility with two days of training each weekend. Perfect for young skiers and riders who are mastering the fundamentals, and are ready for consistent support through coaching and a non-competitive team environment, Rippers is available both Saturday and Sunday.

Good To Know

Rippers

  • Rippers is a non-competitive program with an emphasis on skills development
  • The program is staffed by Sierra Resort coaches who are specifically trained to handle the program
  • A 10% discount will be give to each participant within the same family after the first participant is registered
  • Participants must be able to get on and off the chairlift without help and be able to make controlled turns down a green run

Development Program

Age Rate
Development Team - Ski or Snowboard 8 - 17 $750*

The Development Team* is designed for upper intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders ages 8 to 17 who are honing their skills and have an interest in competing but aren't necessarily ready for the time commitment that being part of a Competition Team requires. Members of the Development Team can train with the Competitive Teams 20 days during the season.

  • All teams are coached by PSIA certified instructors (or international equivalent) who are trained to coach competitive skiers and riders
  • Each program is approximately 18 weeks long
  • A 10% discount will be give to each participant within the same family after the first participant is registered
  • Tuition does not include membership in Far West/USSA/USASA, race fees, travel costs or lift tickets at other resorts
  • Coaches travel to events when 5+ athletes are participating
  • Helpful information for parents can be downloaded here

Competitive Programs

Weekend Competitive Team 8 - 17 $1,399*

The Weekend Competitive Team* trains on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays for a total of 300 hours. The Competitive Teams are designed for upper intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders ages 8 through 17 who are interested in training and competing against their peers.

Full Competitive Team 8 - 17 $1,699*

The Full Competition Team* trains five days a week for a total of 400 hours. Includes holiday periods plus 2-3 midweek days. The Competitive Teams are designed for upper intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders ages 8 through 17 who are interested in training and competing against their peers.
